A Major League Trade (In A Bad Way)

The Florida Marlins traded Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis to the Detroit Tigers for six prospects.

Who the hell owns the Marlins, Rachel Phelps? Will they be making a contract offer to Ken Caminiti to fill the power hole left by Miggy? Or maybe they want to push their youth movement to the fullest and add an unborn fetus to the pitching rotation...

MLB needs to burn Marlins baseball to the ground and salt the earth so that nary a spout of Louisville Slugger ever rears its wooden head again in Southern Florida.

No, they should not burn it to the ground. They should just burn the cheapo owner to the ground. He saw the movie the way others saw Moneyball. So he tried it with 24 million on the Expos, turned it into 280 million and a 150 million interest free loan for the Marlins. Now he is running the same scam again, like the son of a Nigerian General with hidden money. Take away the cheapo owner, give the team to the Indians, and this team will have players, fans, a stadium, and be competitive again.
